Chance meeting in KL

Look who we bumped into at K.L. airport! Only Paul from the World of Pots! What a shocker!

OMG! Look where we have landed! This is the beast half way back along Cape Le Grand beach (23km beach drive!) and Blue Haven beach a few k's out of town. There was a heat wave yesterday and temperatures rose to 45 degrees c! but today it's raining! We are blown away. Our house is better than we expected and is 500m from the beach. Start packing your bags folks...the Wooldridge holiday resort is now open!

Perth

Have now been in Perth for a week and we are nearly all sorted and will be heading to Esperance on Saturday. As you can see we have bought ourselves a 4x4 (Thanks Ade). The other pics are of Cottesloe beach, and a view over the city from Kings park. It was 42.c the other day but has now cooled to a chilly 33. Will get better with the blog once we have our own access to the net.

Back in Bali

We are flying to KL tonight and then onto Perth the next day. We have been sent information and a few pics of what is to be our new home. It is a bungalow with 3 bedrooms a garage and some outdoor space. It looks a bit dated in the bathroom and the kitchen but we should be able to make it look like home. It looks like the shippers have finally got themselves together and our stuff should arrive in storage on the 9th.
We are missing our home from home on Gili Air despite the leaky rook and the bees and spent a disapointing night in an overpriced hotel in Sanur. We could have stayed in Gili Air for a week on what we just paid for one night!
What a trip it has been...I can't wait to get to Perth now...apparently 35 degrees and sunny!
Bye for now

Just one more day left in Gili Air

Karen read the blog and said it sounded like were having an awful time...This is obviously not true! It is wonderful here and I really don't want to leave.

Room Update

Luckily the heavy rains have held off...but last night it wasn't water in our room but a swarm of bees!!!! We showed the staff but this was met with a familiar indonesian shrug...after half an hour of swatting, swishing, screaming and spraying, they told us it was probably because of the massive bees nest in the roof! Information they kept to themselves until now! When we made loud exclaimations, they said "Oh yes, It's enormous, thats why we have left it there!
Still can't change rooms.
Went diving today...saw some really cool stuff. The most amazing was a Leaf Pipefish! How the hell did that thing evolve.
Only got a few days left...boo hoo
But Australia here we come ...Woo Hoo!
